It is 75km north of Cairin. Once a bustling port servicing the mining and sugar industries, this is now a fishing village and beach resort area with a cosmopolitan blend of modern hotels, excellent restaurants, backpackers hostels, old-style pubs and open-air markets. The road from Cairins passes magnificent scenery.
