Spectacular range west of Sydney with a number of popular resorts. The main centre is Katoomba, 104km from Sydney, where attractions include a cable car, scenic railway and sweeping views over valleys, bush land and rock formations. Near Mount Victoria, 10km west of Katoomba, you can take a conducted tour through the Jenolan Caves, a network of natural limestone caverns. The Blue Mountains area has fine restaurants, craft outlets and a good range of accommodation.
